Biodynamic Federation Demeter International
The Biodynamic Federation Demeter International (BFDI) is an umbrella organization supporting its member organizations, representing more than 7.000 farmers with about 250.000 ha in 63 countries on all continents. In 42 of these countries, farmers have gathered in biodynamic organizations.
Demeter licensees can be found in all corners of the globe, using the biodynamic methods successfully on all continents, across the full gamut of climatic conditions. Whether bananas from the Dominican Republic, tea plantations in India, medicinal herbs in Egypt or the production of meat and wool in New Zealand – everywhere biodynamic production can be found it is adapted to local conditions.

Pliny the Elder, the first-century Roman naturalist, stated in his Natural History that the Moon “replenishes the earth; when she approaches it, she fills all bodies, while, when she recedes, she empties them.”
